Voice service E2E connection delay improvement

SZMCC voice service end-to-end connection delay improvement (2007)

Hantele designed voice connection E2E delay improvement service can help you to solve the problems of unreachable and long duration when a call is being connected. The service based on tracking and analyzing the vast signaling information collected from multi interfaces (Um, Abis, A, E, etc.). We can analyze all calls within a switch or analyze a single call for the time delay in every step. This will allow allocation of the problem accurately by end-to-end. With statistical analysis, Hantele found the major factors affecting the connection delay and introduced the optimization improvement proposal.

Service case:
Long duration of paging response affects connected to the called party.

 【Problem description】
We found there are plenty of forward congestion when we analysis a BSC’s Gb utilization rate, the congestion rate is high as more then 50% even in the valley hours of the traffic; the high congestion rate affects the handling ability and speed of SGSN, which cause severely affects to the response delay for data service.

【Analysis scope】
All A interfaces under the specified BSC.

【Analysis objects】
The distribution of time consumption of all calls.

【Analysis findings】
After analysis of the volumes of signaling data, we found 2.66% calls consumed more than 10. We then clear our working direction to focus on analyzing the long duration calls.
